Reflect on dreams and aspirations in this watercolour self-portrait by Kat Korossy, adorned with sunflowers, symbolising hope and a love for nature.
I am obsessed with sunflowers after buying a king sunflower seed pack from a small business many years ago. After that, I kept dreaming about sunflowers. All I was dreaming about were sunflowers. After I spoke to a friend about the art I’d created growing up, he showed me a picture I’d given him where flowers were in front of my eyes. This sparked something in me, and I started dreaming of sunflowers in front of my eyes like a mask. It made me think about nature healing the soul and how our eyes are a window to the soul. For me, sunflowers have helped me start to heal my soul.
